About this event

Welcome to theGap. When signing your child(ren) up please could you confirm with them that they will abide by our principles:

  • Be kind; to other children and the adult helpers
  • Join in with the activities provided
  • Have fun
  • Ensure that you respect the setting in which we meet (this includes putting litter in the bins provided)

Dropoff:

We ask that you drive up to the social club from the Oakley end of Malshanger Lane (the automatic gate will be open) no more than 10 minutes before the session starts (18:20). When dropping off please ensure you drive into the car park and DO NOT allow your children to walk through the car park from the road. It's an unlit area and we want to avoid any potential accidents. Please also ensure that you do not leave your children in the car park. We've had a few occurrences of children being dropped off very early and left in the car park recently. We cannot be responsible for their safety until they're handed over to us. When leaving the car park please ensure you follow the road straight down Hook Lane towards Summer Down Lane and then onwards from there. On the attached map the black arrows indicate the direction of travel to get to the social club and the green arrows show the direction of travel away from the social club.

Pickup:

Again, please do not arrive more than 10 minutes before pickup (19.50) but we do also ask that you do not arrive too much after this as we need to clear away and get ready to go home for our evening :-). Please ensure you park your car and make your way to the social club entrance. We will not allow any children to make their own way across the car park if they see their parent. This is to ensure they're kept safe at all times.

Lastly there will be parking marshals with Hi-Viz jackets. Please ensure you follow their instructions as this will ensure the most efficient and safe flow of traffic.

If you have any questions please feel free to E-mail us.
